Answer: ₹490. 30% of ₹700 = ₹210. ₹700 − ₹210 = ₹490.

Question 3 · Simple interest

Find the simple interest on ₹5,000 at 5% per year for 5 years.

  2. B. ₹1,200
  3. C. ₹6,250
  4. D. ₹1,750

Answer: ₹1,250. Simple interest = P × R × T ÷ 100 = 5000 × 5 × 5 ÷ 100 = ₹1,250.

  4. D. 200

Answer: 20. 20 × 20 = 400, so √400 = 20.

Question 5 · Exponents

What is 2^4 × 2^3?

  2. B. 128 ✓
  3. C. 64
  4. D. 256

Answer: 128. When you multiply powers of the same base, add the exponents: 2^7 = 128.
