TeacherCircle is a free directory. Teachers list themselves, students and parents search and get in touch, and what happens next is between them. We do not employ teachers, we do not run lessons, and we are not a party to any arrangement made through the site. By using TeacherCircle you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
We help people find each other. We do not check a teacher's qualifications, background or the quality of their teaching, and a listing, rating or "verified" mark is not a guarantee. Before you hire a teacher, ask for proof of qualifications, speak to them, and for home tuition meet in a safe, suitable place with a parent or guardian present when the student is a child. Fees, timings and everything else are agreed directly between you and the teacher.
Give true information and keep your password private. You must be at least 18 to create an account. Students under 18 should use the site with a parent or guardian, who can create the account for them. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us if you think someone else is using it.
Your listing must be accurate: your real name, subjects, experience, qualifications and location. Do not claim qualifications you do not have, and do not copy another person's profile or photo. You agree that students and parents can see the profile details you choose to publish. You can edit or remove your listing at any time from your account.
Use messages and tutor requests to find a teacher, not to advertise, harass or collect personal details for other purposes. Reviews must come from real experience and be honest and fair.
We may remove content, hide a listing, or suspend an account that breaks these rules or puts others at risk, and we may do so without notice where that is needed to keep people safe. You can report a conversation from inside the app, or write to us on the contact page.
TeacherCircle Daily, the practice pages and our articles are made to help learning. We work to keep them correct, but they are provided as they are, and they are not a substitute for your school, textbook or teacher. If you spot a mistake, please tell us.
You keep ownership of what you post (profile text, messages, reviews). You give us permission to store it and show it as needed to run the site, for example to display your listing or deliver your message. Please do not post anything that belongs to someone else.
The site is free to use and is supported by advertising (Google AdSense) and voluntary donations. We may link to other websites, including our sister site Knowledgewala. We do not control other websites and are not responsible for them. Some features may become paid in the future; if so, the price will be shown clearly before you pay.
We try to keep TeacherCircle available and accurate, but we cannot promise it will always work or be free of errors. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not responsible for any loss or harm that arises from your dealings with another user, from the content of another user or a third party, or from the site being unavailable. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under Indian consumer law that cannot be limited.
We may update these terms, and will change the date above when we do. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept it. You can delete your account at any time from your account page. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute.
