What is 20% of 100?

Answer: 20. 20% means 20 out of every 100. 20% of 100 = 20 × 100 ÷ 100 = 20.

Question 3 · Perimeter

A rectangle is 10 cm long and 4 cm wide. What is its perimeter?

  1. A. 30 cm
  2. B. 14 cm
  3. C. 28 cm ✓
  4. D. 26 cm

Answer: 28 cm. Perimeter = 2 × (length + width) = 2 × (10 + 4) = 28 cm.

What is 285 + 709?

  4. D. 1094

Answer: 994. 285 + 709 = 994. Add the ones, tens and hundreds, carrying when a column passes 9.

What is 13 + 8 × 6 − 46?

  3. C. 13
  4. D. 15 ✓

Answer: 15. Multiply first (BODMAS): 8 × 6 = 48. Then 13 + 48 − 46 = 15.
