If a + b = 15 and ab = 24, what is a² + b²?
Answer: 177. (a + b)² = a² + 2ab + b², so a² + b² = 15² − 2 × 24 = 225 − 48 = 177.
If a + b = 15 and ab = 17, what is a² + b²?
Answer: 191. (a + b)² = a² + 2ab + b², so a² + b² = 15² − 2 × 17 = 225 − 34 = 191.
If a + b = 9 and ab = 7, what is a² + b²?
Answer: 67. (a + b)² = a² + 2ab + b², so a² + b² = 9² − 2 × 7 = 81 − 14 = 67.
If a + b = 8 and ab = 12, what is a² + b²?
Answer: 40. (a + b)² = a² + 2ab + b², so a² + b² = 8² − 2 × 12 = 64 − 24 = 40.
If a + b = 11 and ab = 12, what is a² + b²?
Answer: 97. (a + b)² = a² + 2ab + b², so a² + b² = 11² − 2 × 12 = 121 − 24 = 97.
If a + b = 6 and ab = 7, what is a² + b²?
Answer: 22. (a + b)² = a² + 2ab + b², so a² + b² = 6² − 2 × 7 = 36 − 14 = 22.
If a + b = 13 and ab = 26, what is a² + b²?
Answer: 117. (a + b)² = a² + 2ab + b², so a² + b² = 13² − 2 × 26 = 169 − 52 = 117.
If a + b = 12 and ab = 26, what is a² + b²?
Answer: 92. (a + b)² = a² + 2ab + b², so a² + b² = 12² − 2 × 26 = 144 − 52 = 92.
If a + b = 8 and ab = 13, what is a² + b²?
Answer: 38. (a + b)² = a² + 2ab + b², so a² + b² = 8² − 2 × 13 = 64 − 26 = 38.
If a + b = 7 and ab = 10, what is a² + b²?
Answer: 29. (a + b)² = a² + 2ab + b², so a² + b² = 7² − 2 × 10 = 49 − 20 = 29.
If a + b = 8 and ab = 9, what is a² + b²?
Answer: 46. (a + b)² = a² + 2ab + b², so a² + b² = 8² − 2 × 9 = 64 − 18 = 46.
If a + b = 11 and ab = 11, what is a² + b²?
Answer: 99. (a + b)² = a² + 2ab + b², so a² + b² = 11² − 2 × 11 = 121 − 22 = 99.
