Answer: ₹4,050. Simple interest = P × R × T ÷ 100 = 9000 × 9 × 5 ÷ 100 = ₹4,050.

What is 5^2 × 5^3?

  3. C. 3125 ✓
  4. D. 625

Answer: 3125. When you multiply powers of the same base, add the exponents: 5^5 = 3125.

Question 3 · Integers

What is −15 + 3 − (−10)?

  1. A. −28
  2. B. −2 ✓
  3. C. −8
  4. D. 22

Answer: −2. Subtracting a negative adds: −15 + 3 + 10 = −2.

Question 4 · Discounts

A jacket costs ₹1,500. After a 10% discount, what do you pay?

  1. A. ₹150
  2. B. ₹1,350 ✓
  3. C. ₹1,400
  4. D. ₹1,650

Answer: ₹1,350. 10% of ₹1,500 = ₹150. ₹1,500 − ₹150 = ₹1,350.

Question 5 · Ratios

₹56 is shared between Ria and Sam in the ratio 3 : 4. How much does Sam get?

  1. A. ₹40
  2. B. ₹32 ✓
  3. C. ₹28
  4. D. ₹24

Answer: ₹32. 3 + 4 = 7 equal parts. One part = ₹56 ÷ 7 = ₹8. Sam gets 4 parts = ₹32.
